How are you guys doing today? I hope all is well and you are getting this nice spring weather that I am getting today. The sun is shinning bright and the snow is fading fast. I am not sorry to see it go! What is your weather like today?
I thought I would share with you my latest creation because it just scream spring!!! It is also a fun fold card which I have not made in a while. This fun fold is super easy too! I made this on my Tuesday Facebook live yesterday!
To make my card I used the super adorable Friendly Gnomes photopolymer stamp set and the Gnomes dies. This set is perfect for your spring cards! Those images are perfect for coloring too!
Here is the inside of one of the cards I made and you can see I did some extra stamping and coloring too! I rarely stamp the inside of cards but I need to do this more because what a fun surprise when you open this card. Because this card will not stay closed with all the folds I also created a belly band. If you tune into my facebook live you will see me mess up the belly band. It would not be a live with out me messing something up!!
To make this card you will need a piece of 12 by 12 cardstock. I used Soft Seafoam and I cut it 5 1/2 by 12. You would need to score this piece on the 12 by 12 side at 1 3/4, 4 3/4, and 7 3/4. The belly band is cut 1 by 9 1/2. You will need to score this at 2 1/4 then turn it to the other end and score at 2 3/4. The belly band will be loose on your card but you want it this way so the recipient will be able to pull it off the card easily! You will need to 3 pieces of designer series paper cut at 1 1/2 by 5 1/4, and one cut at 2 3/4 by 5 1/4 and if you used a colored card stock like me then you would need a piece of basic white cut 2 3/4 by 5 1/4.
